Jon is a dedicated law enforcement professional with a strong commitment to serving his community. With over 15 years of experience in the field, he began his career with the San Bernardino Police Department in 2005.
Throughout his career, Jon has demonstrated his passion for making a positive impact within the law enforcement community. In 2008, he began volunteering his time with the San Bernardino Police Officers Association (SBPOA) and the community of San Bernardino. Recognizing the importance of uniting and advocating for his fellow officers, Jon ran for a patrol representative position in 2016 and was successfully elected.
Building upon his dedication to the SBPOA, Jon continued to strive for excellence and ran for an investigative representative position in 2018, once again emerging victorious in the election. During his tenure, he was appointed as the Political Action Committee Chairman (PAC), showcasing his leadership skills and ability to navigate complex issues.
In 2020, Jon decided to take his commitment to the next level and ran for the position of Vice President, successfully securing the role through an election process. This achievement further solidified his reputation as a trusted leader within the law enforcement community.
In 2021, Jon's vision and dedication to improving the working conditions and safety of all SBPOA members led him to run for the esteemed position of President. Through his tireless efforts and unwavering commitment, he emerged victorious in the election, earning the trust and confidence of his peers.
Currently holding the rank of sergeant, Jon continues to lead by example, advocating for the rights and well-being of his fellow colleagues. His primary goal is to create a positive and supportive environment that fosters growth, unity, and professional development within the SBPOA.
